Choraphor and Genital Herpes - An Objective Review
By Noah Rider

Let me put myself in your shoes for just one second. If you are reading this right now you are probably worried. You probably recently learned that you have contracted the herpes virus. Chances are its probably genital herpes and you feel terrible about it. I should know because I have been there. You probably feel embarrassed about it and wish you had never been so careless. I am not going to tell you not to feel this way because I felt that way and no matter what you read out there your inner judgement will try and envelope you with a feeling of guilt. Here are a few things I will tell you though:

One in five Americans (20% of the population) is infected with genital herpes; and

20% of people infected with HSV-2 have no symptoms at all; 20% of people infected with HSV-2 have symptoms and know they are infected and 60% of people infected with the virus have symptoms but do not know they are infected with the virus.

What I am trying to get at is quite simple. You are not alone. Don’t feel like there is this cross that you have to bear and that you are any less than any other person out there. The fact that you carry the virus does not define who you are. What it does mean however, is that you are going to have to be very careful when you engage in intimate relations with your partner.

In studies of transmission of genital herpes in couples, the annual risk of transmission averaged 5 to 10% per year for those abstaining from sex during outbreaks. What this means, is that if you protect yourself and abstain from sex during outbreaks, you have a 90% to a 95% chance of having a normal relationship. I am not going to get into the moral argument of whether you should tell your partner or not (for the record I think you should) because that is frankly not the objective of this review.

I tried a product called Choraphor. It claims to kill the herpes virus on contact. Medical studies and doctors claim that this is not possible. I am no expert on the topic, but after visiting several forums and reading the comments of people living with the virus, I decided to give it a shot. It comes in a little transparent bottle containing a blue liquid. As soon as I would feel an outbreak I diluted a q-tip with water and poured three or four drops directly on the q-tip. I would then apply it directly on the area where I would feel the outbreak coming up and place the q-tip firmly over it. When I had outbreaks, I would apply directly on the lesion. A word of warning for the faint of heart - this stuff stings. I mean it actually burns for a few seconds before the feeling subsides. Did it eliminate my outbreaks immediately? I would be lying if I told you it did. Here is what it did do:

Choraphor reduced the recovery time between outbreaks from two weeks to about two to three days;

Choraphor reduced the frequency of outbreaks with every application.

I have gone for approximately 6 months without having an outbreak and have been under prolonged periods of stress and lack of sleep on several occasions. I am not sure if the effects will be long lasting or if Choraphor has eliminated the virus from my system. What I am sure of is that it has made dealing with this virus A LOT EASIER. I have actually been able to have a normal relationship without transmitting the virus to my partner.

Genital Warts - 11 Things an Inquiring Mind Should Know!
By Wendy Hershey

Genital warts are one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases caused by the HPV infection. The peak incidence of this infection occurs in 16-25 year olds. The diagnosis is made on what a doctor sees and not by biopsy. Generally, genital warts are not associated with any potential to become cancerous. Treatment can be challenging, as there is no cure and recurrences are common.

People should be aware of the 6 Common Factors that can put them at risk for developing genital warts:

1. Having intercourse at an early age
2. Having an increasing number of sexual partners
3. Being immunocompromised — having a low immune system
4. Being female aged 19-22
5. Being male aged 22-26
6. Finding lesions present on body

People should also be on the look out for 5 Uncommon Factors which could possibly signal an infection of genital warts:

1. Lesions that are in an area that the person has difficulty viewing
2. Lesions that may itch
3. Lesions that may bleed if rubbed by underwear or with walking
4. Pain that may occur when the lesions become irritated
5. Bleeding from the urinary tract or an abnormal stream of urine which can indicate genital warts located in the urinary tract.

Now, apply the above factors you have learned to a story about a patient named Cathy…

Cathy is a young woman who should have been more aware of the common and uncommon risk factors for developing genital warts. You may draw your own conclusions about her at the end of her story. What should she have been more aware of and what can she do to change her behavior in the future?

“Cathy is a 21-year old female who comes into her doctor’s office. She is very worried about a skin problem she recently developed. She complains to her doctor of some new bumps she found in her genital area. She tells her doctor that these bumps gradually developed over the past month. The bumps are not painful, they don’t itch and they don’t burn. The doctor questions Cathy about her sexual activity. She says she is sexually active and has multiple partners. She also says that she does not use condoms all the time. Her most recent sexual encounter was with a new partner several weeks before coming in to her doctor’s office today.”

What do you think of our patient Cathy?

Here’s what I think…

Cathy has newly diagnosed genital warts. She now needs to take on the role of prevention –since there is no cure for genital warts. She can make some life style changes to hopefully prevent her from transmitting the infection to others. She can use products to help bring her comfort and relief when she experiences a flare up of her genital warts.

In conclusion, people should become more aware of the 6 Common Factors that put us at risk for developing genital warts. Being aware of these more common risk factors will hopefully prevent people from arriving at the 5 Uncommon Factors!

What is a Cold Sore? Background Information, Studies, and Vaccine Info
By Andrew Kawaski

Basics of What Causes a Cold Sore

A cold sore is the external sign of an active herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection, normally appearing on the lip or directly around the mouth–sometimes cold sores can appear on the nose as well. The specific pathogen that causes this is normally the HSV-1 strain, although HSV-2 (aka “type 2 herpes”) can also cause oral infections, although it’s more commonly associated with genital herpes–both HSV-1 and HSV-2 are equally capable of infecting either areas of the body. The old axiom of “If it’s below the waist it’s HSV-2, if it’s above the waist it’s HSV-13 no longer holds true all of the time, although it’s still accurate in the majority of cases.

The herpes simplex virus spends the majority of the time hibernating inside the sensory nerve cells near the initial site of infection (normally the face, in this case) in what’s called the remission period–the virus remains dormant. Studies have shown that outbreaks almost always correlate to a temporary drop in the immune system’s defenses such as sudden cold weather (hence the name “cold sore”), excessive UV exposure (sunlight), other illnesses such as the flu and colds, and the biggest cause of cold sore outbreaks by far: stress. This is the reason that one of the first things you should do as soon as you feel the oncoming tingling of a cold sore is to start (or increase, if you’re already on it) taking Vitamin C in large doses (you can’t really OD on Vitamin C per se).

Frequency of Occurance, And–Can I Ever Get Rid of It?

The herpes simplex virus cycles through active and dormant stages, the great majority of time being spent in the dormant stage. Active outbreaks typically last from 2 to 21 days, although the person can be infectious for as much as a week before and after the outbreak. People in their first year of infection will typically have a lot more outbreaks (higher frequency) than someone who has had HSV for a while–frequency of active periods (outbreaks) slowly decreases over time eventually to where a person will go years in between outbreaks.

There is no known cure for HSV, and once you’ve got it, it stays with you for life. There are currently several vaccines in Phase III trials with the FDA that are likely to be released soon, although the main one, Herpevac, has only been shown to be effective 50-75% of the time and only in females (this is for a HSV-2 vaccine designed to prevent genital herpes–Source: http://www.niaid.nih.gov/dmid/stds/herpevac/).

Where Did My Herpes Infection Come From?

You most likely contracted oral herpes from when you were kissed on the lips by a relative who had an active outbreak when you were a child. This is the most common way in which the disease is transmitted. Many people think that it likely came from a sexual partner that they kissed, but this is the second most common form of transmission, so in all likelihood you’ve got grandma or aunt matilda to blame for your lifelong affliction of cold sores.

Also, when people ask what is a cold sore?, they often are confused as to whether or not they actually have a cold sore or something else, and it’s good to keep in mind that cold sores are often confused with canker sores, which are caused by bacteria and have nothing to do with HSV or cold sores–canker sores are always inside the mouth, whereas cold sores very rarely occur there (they are almost always outside the mouth) and when they do it’s typically on the hard palate on the roof of the mouth or on the gums, whereas canker sores usually occur on the soft area inside the lips.

Putting an end to finding solutions to STD genital herpes may be finally within reach due to the findings of various researches recently conducted. These new advancements in treatments could lead to a faster diagnosis and better cure for outbreaks.

Vaccines and Herpes Treatment

Presently, vaccines being considered for treating herpes are being investigated and it is expected that they will be available within the next 3-5 years. However, it is sad to note that the current vaccine will not be effective for patients who are currently suffering from the herpes virus. The vaccine is geared towards preventing the virus from spreading in new patients.

All research focused on using several vaccines for treating herpes have failed. The vaccines used for the research include polio, smallpox, and Lupidon C.

In over 56 countries, isoniplex has become available. Most of them have given their nod to using isoniplex in treating STD genital herpes due to its antiviral properties that can activate the body’s immune system. Isoniplex is also being experimented for curing primary and recurrent genital herpes patients.

Natural Herpes Treatment Approaches

Although there is no known cure for herpes, there have been some drugs that have been proven effective in lessening the frequency and duration of outbreaks. The best thing to do is discuss with your doctor the best possible treatment.

In case of an outbreak of genital herpes, the patient should keep the cleanliness and dryness of the blisters as possible. This way, you will be able to ensure the natural healing of the infected area. To maintain the cleanliness of the infected area, take a warm shower.

Use towel or hair dryer to dry the affected area. To keep this STD from chaffing, it would be best not to wear tight-fitting undergarments. Likewise, creams and lotions should not be considered because they have the tendency to irritate the skin.

By ensuring the health of your immune system, you can control the outbreak of the herpes virus. Proper diet lifestyle, regular exercise regimen, and sufficient rest can also lessen the occurrence of outbreaks.

Therapeutic Methods for Curing Herpes

There are two modes of therapeutic approaches that are under investigation at the moment. The effects of antiviral therapy and immunotherapy for the treatment of STD genital herpes are presently under consideration.

The focus of antiviral therapy is to come up with a drug that can differentiate cells that protect the virus from cells that do not. Antiviral drugs should carefully get rid of the harmful virus without endangering the regular cells. Antiviral therapy effectively treats herpes by eliminating the entire virus without leaving any fragments or mutants that can bring about later outbreaks.

Immunotherapy, on the other hand, is a treatment that focuses on developing an agent that will get rid of the virus by forming a natural defense that would activate the body’s immune response system. The currently accessible substances can activate the specialized white blood cells.

Changing your diet lifestyle is also helpful in controlling the virus. It has been discovered that food that abounds with I-Arginine can lead to herpes outbreaks.

How Amino Acids Come Into Play

The addition of the amino acid lysine can help in the regulation of STD genital herpes. According to studies of tissue cultures, having more lysine than arginine can have a beneficial effect as it can slow down the onset of HSV2.

Food that is rich in lysine includes fish, chicken, cheese, milk, and most fruits and vegetables. Gelatin, whole meat, coconuts, peanuts, soybeans, and wheatgerm should be avoided because they are rich in arginine and can only hasten the spread of the STD.

Using the various methods mentioned above can facilitate treating STD genital herpes. As always, it would be helpful if you would consult your doctor in order to receive the most suitable treatment for your situation.

Medical researcher Sandra Griggs can aid you in finding the best STD genital herpes treatment. She personally suffered from herpes simplex and fortunately found the solution to overcome this disease.
By Adriana Sands

Are you currently feeling a burning sensation in your vagina, labia or surrounding areas including your anus, buttocks and upper legs? Do you notice an unusual vaginal discharge? Do you have a rash or itching around the genitals and surrounding area? Are you experiencing flu-like symptoms such as headache, fatigue, nausea, dizziness or fever?

If you are currently experiencing any of these symptoms and you’ve started seeing a new partner, had unprotected vaginal, anal or oral sex recently, or you’ve been experiencing these signs for some time now, it’s possible you might have contracted herpes.

The symptoms mentioned above are some of the known genital herpes symptoms in women before an outbreak occurs. If you meet the above criteria, this can be a cause for some concern. If you are experiencing these symptoms, or you are just concerned, you should see a doctor or medical practitioner as soon as possible for a sexually transmitted disease (STD) check. These signs can also be quite a few other diseases and conditions, many of them harmless, but they are well known genital herpes symptoms in women.

Some facts you should know include genital herpes is much more common in women than men, around twice as many females contract the disease than men. You may have contracted the disease from someone who doesn’t even know they have it, as 70 percent of men carrying the disease show little or no symptoms at all, and are unaware they have the herpes virus. Unfortunately, women are much more likely to show signs of the disease and have regular outbreaks.

Once contracted, genital herpes stays in the body for life, laying dormant in the nerves of the genital area. Herpes will show no signs at all until the time of an outbreak, which is preceded by the symptoms mentioned above. Outbreaks can occur frequently or rarely, depending on the person, but they are most likely to appear around once a month.

During an outbreak, genital herpes symptoms in women usually come in the form of blisters found in and around the genital area. These blisters can be small or large, be many or little in number, and usually start out a seeping sores that may itch or be easily irritated. They are very uncomfortable, and sometimes very painful. The sores will eventually scab over, and heal usually within ten days.

There is currently no known cure for genital herpes but with modern medications and treatments it can be managed easily, the trick is getting the right treatment right away. Many effective treatments exist, including natural and herbal treatments. These are great for anyone wanting to combat the disease naturally, and avoid the side effects associated with expensive prescription drugs.

Other genital herpes symptoms in women include muscle ache, back pain and swollen lymph nodes. You might also have pain or burning when urinating. If you are experiencing any of these, please see your doctor as soon as possible and start treatment. With the right treatment and diet, you can keep herpes under control and live a normal life.

Author: Nammy

One of the most embarrassing diseases that an individual can get is genital warts. Genital warts are a particular type of sexually transmitted diseases, usually caused by HPV (human pappllomavirus). It can be transmitted from one partner to another by direct skin contact during sexual intercourse. Any kind of sexual activity, such as oral, anal or vaginal sex can lead to transmission of genital warts from a healthy partner to another.

Genital warts can be easily identified as a genital HPV infection. Severe case of genital warts can also lead to cervical cancer in women. Many people may tend to confuse genital warts with other benign anal warts but genital warts are entirely different. They can be identified as fleshy, raised growths on the genital areas of an individual. They generally occur in clusters. Genital warts can be extremely small or can even grow eventually to transform into large masses of clusters in the penis area.

Genital warts are most commonly seen in men. Men are affected by genital warts on specific areas, such as the tip of penis. Some other genital areas may also include shaft of the penis, the area around the penis and on the scrotum. On the other hand, women are less prone to genital warts but are at a risk, nevertheless, if they engage in sexual activity with an infected person.

In women, genital warts are usually less prominent compared to men. Women can suffer from genital warts on the inside and outside area of their vagina, on the outer opening of the cervix or the uterus.

In some of the rarest cases, it is possible that an individual may develop genital warts in their mouth or the area around their throat, if they have had oral sex with the infected partner. Genital warts occur when the viral particles of the infection are able to penetrate through the skin of the other partner via the microscopic abrasions which may occur in the genital area during the sexual activity. It may be possible that the HPV may not get transformed into a fully fledged genital wart for quite a number of months or even years, after they are transferred from an infected partner to another partner.

In certain cases, it is usually seen that individuals are not able to identify whether they are suffering from genital warts or not, as the virus has not yet taken shape of the wart, but it is there nevertheless. In certain cases, it may be possible that these genital warts may disappear on their own, even if the individual does not seek proper medication for them.

Finally, it can never be said whether a genital wart will disappear gradually or transform into a more prominent, raised growth. However, there are a number of medications and topical treatments available on the market, which can help to treat genital warts, depending on its size and the exact location where the warts have occurred.

By Kalwant Rana

Symptoms of genital warts – If spotted early enough and treated, can reduce the chances of developing cancer of the cervix.

Symptoms of genital warts can be many and varied and can even be mistaken for another disease. This is especially true hpv genital condition hasn’t manifested itself in the form of physical warts.

What Are The Symptoms of Genital Warts?

Like many other STDs, HPV infection often does not cause symptoms. One study sponsored by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) reported that nearly half of all women with HPV had no noticeable symptoms. However, in many cases, small, hard spots (easily visible to the eye) can develop within three weeks to three months after exposure.

In women, these warts can occur on the lips of the vagina, inside the vagina or even around the anus. Anogenital warts may cause itching. Women also develop cervical warts, which are flat lesions unseen in their early stages.

Some other symptoms may include:

• Cauliflower-like appearing growths around the anus or genitals

• Increased dampness or moisture in the area of the growths

• Itching of the penis, scrotum, anal area, or a vulvar itch

• Increased vaginal discharge

• Abnormal vaginal bleeding (not associated with a menstrual period) after sexual intercourse

You may have all the symptoms of genital warts but still not have any physically on your genitals. One possible reason that symptoms of genital warts are mistaken for something else is that the warts can be almost invisible to the naked eye.

In these circumstances, your physician will take your symptoms into account and use a number of methods to determine whether you have genital warts. One of the most common is to dab a small amount of acetic acid (vinegar) on the suspected area infected with warts.

The symptoms of genital warts may also be missed if they occur within the vaginal walls. In this case, the symptoms could be of another disorder called yeast infection. That’s why it’s a good idea to seek immediate professional help when the signs of genital warts are detected.

Getting the most accurate diagnosis for the symptoms you are displaying is vital, the last thing you want is self diagnosing yourself, and the likelihood of you being wrong is high, and then treating yourself for a completely different condition. This can have further repercussions, in that using the wrong medication to treat a disorder can let your body become used that medication, rendering it useless when you will need it the most.

The flipside would be to ignore the symptoms of genital warts and leaving the condition untreated, leading to even more serious conditions such as cancer of the cervix. An even more worrying possibility is that if you have recurring genital warts symptoms, it could be a sign of cervical cancer or even HIV- AIDS.

Therefore the seriousness and the urgency of a proper checkup when you display any of these symptoms is paramount. You will then be able to receive the correct treatment needed to help you get rid of genital warts.

It must be noted that even though you may be able to cure genital warts with the right treatment ad fight off the symptoms, the underlying virus, the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) cannot be cured. You will have to rely on your immune system to help fight the HPV virus.

By Jeff Paterson

Finding out you have genital herpes is no fun at all. Despite the fact that it is a very common ailment, and that around 1 in 5 people carry the virus, many sufferers are plagued with guilt, anxiety and a huge loss of self worth. This is mainly due to the taboo nature of the virus and the myth and rumors that surround it.

Having genital herpes does not make you dirty or tarnished. It does not make you a bad person, and it does not mean your social or sexual life is over. It’s an annoying virus just like any other. And while there is no cure for herpes, it can be controlled, and outbreaks can be stopped, and you can live your life as if you never had it.

If you have genital herpes, you just need to take the right measures when outbreaks occur, and the right measures in between outbreaks. This can mean shorter, smaller and less painful outbreaks, and eventually lead to fewer and fewer outbreaks, then none at all.

The first step is to get a regular, effective treatment for the conditions. There is a wide range of prescription, natural and homeopathic medicines available, as well as dietary supplements and topical treatments that can also help. Finding what works for you may be a matter of trial and error, or it may be simply a matter of spending a few hours doing the research. Get online and you’ll find plenty of information on what works and what doesn’t. But remember, it mainly comes down to the individual, so what works for you, may not work for someone else. Keep trying and you’ll eventually find the treatment that is perfect for you.

The next step if you have genital herpes is to make the appropriate lifestyle adjustments, and these mainly come down to diet, fitness and hygiene. Eat healthily, and avoid foods high in arginine, such as chocolate and nuts. Avoid fatty foods and food high in sugar. A regular lysine supplement (from any health food store) has been shown to be very effective too.

Fitness is important, as many people who have genital herpes find regular exercise can reduce the frequency of outbreaks. It also boosts the immune system and lowers stress, which is another big trigger for outbreaks.

Hygiene is the final important step. Stay clean and dry as much as possible, and try to bath at least two to three times a day, using warm water and a good antibacterial soap. Wear cotton underwear as opposed to synthetic materials, as these can trap moisture which can lead to outbreaks, or worsen them. During outbreaks bathe the affected area in warm salt water three or four times a day, and change underwear often as possible, probably two or three times a day.

If you have genital herpes and follow the above advice, you should be well on your way to controlling the nasty little virus, and will soon be able to get your life back on track.

Live a Normal Life Despite Mouth Herpes
By Ilse Hagen

Few things in life can be as embarrassing as walking around with cold sores on your mouth, especially when many people know that cold sores is just another term for herpes. Indeed, most people who are diagnosed with oral or mouth herpes find it hard to imagine themselves living normal lives again. Oral herpes can be described as red and itching sores and blisters around your lips. The virus can even spread as far as your gums and tongue. Oral herpes is so contagious that even toddlers who do not wash their hands can contract the disease.

What happens when you become infected

Once you had sexual contact with a herpes-infected person, you have to wait as much as a couple of weeks before you can detect the symptoms. This is because mouth herpes follows a certain cycle. After the contact, the virus enters your system through your skin. Your immune system fights back and this is how you develop a fever, which is one of the earliest signs of herpes. Afterwards, the virus will then travel to your spinal area where it can reproduce amidst the nervous tissues. This explains that back pain that a herpes carrier may experience. After a week or two, you will start noticing the blisters around your oral area. After your first breakout, the virus may remain dormant for a time being, until it is triggered to reproduce again.

Staying outbreak-free

Since there is no known treatment for mouth herpes or any kind of herpes for that matter, the best you can hope for is to remain free from recurrences or outbreaks. One way to do this is to avoid factors that can trigger a flare-up, such as arginine-rich foods, emotional and physical stress, sun exposure, unprotected sex, etc. You may also want to refrain from touching the infected area while there are lesions.

Wart Removal – Understanding When and How Warts Can Be Removed Safely
By Davion Wong

Wart removal is a necessity to sufferers whose daily activities have been inconvenienced or when the warts badly affect their physical appearances. It can be rather embarrassing for the victims to face their friends or just about anyone especially when multiple warts develop on their bodies in visible areas. Worse still, folks who are ignorant about the causes of warts may mistakenly view the sufferers as lacking in personal hygiene and therefore suffer from multiple ugly warts. As you can see, the impact these warts have upon the individual extends beyond just the physical. Suffering from warts can be detrimental to one’s confidence and self-esteem. This article will walk you through briefly what are the different types of warts, what are the likely causes, and what can be done to treat them.

Warts are mostly harmless skin growths caused by viruses called human papillomavirus. The acronym for this virus is HPV. HPV attacks the cap of the skin, and causes warts to develop. All in all, there are broadly 4 wart types. They are foot or plantar warts, common warts, flat warts and genital warts. Genital warts are perhaps the toughest to deal with.

Foot warts also commonly called plantar warts grow on our soles which are subjected to high pressure all the time. Plantar warts can grow in clusters and look speck-like mosaic tiles giving them the name mosaic warts. They are flat in appearance unlike common warts due to the walking pressures. They are known to cause considerable pain and discomfort to sufferers. Plantar warts removal then becomes a must. Research has revealed that ground moisture ie wet floors are good breeding grounds for wart-causing viruses. Our feet are constantly subjected to walking pressure and fine skin cracks can easily develop, exposing them to the attack of the plantar wart viruses. This explains why people who share public showers are at higher risks to developing plantar warts than those who don’t.

Common warts appear in skin surfaces which are broken, or fine skin cracks on our hands, particularly on fingers or nails. These cracked skin surfaces make our skin vulnerable to the attack of HPV. If you look at the common warts on your hand, you will notice that there are black dots on the warts that look like small seeds. These are actually the appearance of blood vessels, and people start to call them seed warts. Common warts also tend to be raised above the skin surface, giving it a rough texture.

The third type is flat warts. Children tend to suffer from these warts which look like small minute pinheads, which is why flat warts are also known as juvenile warts. They appear on arms, hands, knees or even on the face and grow in huge numbers sometimes to 100s of them. Kids who suffer from facial warts are a poor lot as they can be painful and itchy and also affect their psychological development. Wart removal should be administered when this happens to arrest the problem.

Genital warts are the nastiest of the whole lot. Our genital tissues are very sensitive to pain and itch and you can imagine the intensity of discomfort and pain these warts can cause. These warts can resemble little mushrooms or flat bumps and as the name suggests grow on genital areas like the groin, on the penis or anus of men. For the women, they would appear on the cervix, in the vagina, perineal or vulva area. Genital warts are also potentially more dangerous than other warts because of their tendency to develop into malignant growths, ie cancerous. Such warts are normally a result of sexual activities.

Generally, the occurrence of warts is attributed to the exposure of broken skin to the HPV. As such, any activity, or circumstances that could provide such conditions would make it ideal for warts to develop. This explains why warts normally appear on hands of children who love nail-biting. A weak constitution could also make one vulnerable to the viruses. HPV can be transmitted by physical contact with objects used by carriers of these viruses. In short, warts can be contagious and it is best that you avoid sex or direct contact with any known sufferer or share personal items with them. Unfortunately, because of the rather long incubation period these viruses, symptoms are not visible until many months later.

Finally we look at what are the treatment methods available should you seriously need them. Cyrotherapy is the medical name of the process of eliminating the warts by freezing them off. The warts can be excised or cut off with sharp scissors or scalpels, or removed using over-the-counter medications containing acidic agents like salicylic. Warts can be cauterized or burnt off, or surgically removed by laser as well. But I have to caution you to find out more about each treatment method from your local dermatologist as different types of warts require different treatment method. The results and side effects may also vary.
